COOKIE & COCOA SALE
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2009
10:30 AM TO 1:00 PM
ON THE FRONT PORCH OF 60 GRAND AVENUE, ENGLEWOOD, NEW JERSEY
We hope to help 100 teenagers from Darfur between ages 13 and 18 who now live in Tel Aviv, Israel without their families. They traveled a great distance escaping from the war in Sudan, crossing into Egypt and then crossing the border from Egypt into Israel. They have all been exposed to many horrible events during their journey. . They struggle for even basic needs such as food, proper clothes or a place to sleep at night. Mesila is an organization that is part of the government of the city of Tel Aviv. Mesila has programs to help Darfur refugees living in Tel Aviv and Mesila is working to establish home away from home to help the needs of these refugee children. Mesila is looking to raise $1,500 for winter clothes and other basic needs for these teens.
To help Mesila raise money for these teenage refugees from Darfur, we will be holding a Cookie & Cocoa Sale on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. It will be held on the front porch of 60 Grand Avenue, Englewood, New Jersey 07631.
Through our Cookie & Cocoa Sale, we hope to help Mesila get closer to its goal. If you are in the Englewood area on that Sunday, we hope you will drop by to buy a few cookies and some hot cocoa. We can’t promise that they will be delicious (after all, our dad helped bake them, and while he loves to eat them, he isn’t exactly a gourmet baker. I think he still owes us about $40 for all the “broken” cookies). But we can promise you will feel good about buying them and helping others so far away.
If you are not in the area and still want to contribute, feel free to send a small donation (even $5 or $10 will help). You can make the check payable to The Tel Aviv Foundation and mail it to Triplets for a Cause, c/o The Rocking Chair, 60 Grand Avenue, Englewood, NJ 07631.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We hope to see you at the Cookie & Cocoa Sale on November 22nd.
Sincerely,
Noah, Julia and Anna Greenblatt - President of Triplets for a Cause
